A secrecy service creates a trust problem

An obfuscation service handles code its customer is trying to protect. A promise to keep it private is necessary, but “trust us” cannot be the complete security model. The service itself has to be inside the boundary people can question.

Evidence changes the relationship

Self-attestation replaces a dashboard claim with evidence about how a build was handled. The goal is to let a customer verify the declared environment and the delivered result without publishing the program that needed protection.

Prove handling without revealing logic

A verification record can answer a narrow question about correspondence and handling without carrying the program’s contents. It should explain what was completed, not how protected logic works.

Keep evidence, minimize exposure

Later verification should rely on signed evidence rather than retained request material. Luawl is designed so the proof can outlive the obfuscation request while the protected code does not have to become part of the public record.

What attestation does, and does not, prove

Attestation does not make obfuscation unbreakable or make a compromised client trustworthy. It makes the service’s own handling boundary more accountable. Privacy and transparency can coexist when the evidence is specific, independently checkable, and honest about its limits.
